Mary on Mission at St. Christopher's School for the Deaf in Jamaica
Jesus gave us the Beatitudes at the Sermon on the Mount. In the Kingdom of Heaven, wealth and power and authority are unimportant. Kingdom people seek different blessings and benefits, and they have different attitudes....they reflect the humility and self-sacrifice of Jesus, our KING.
Our family is very active in missionary work, particularly building Little Blue Houses with my church and IsleGo Missions in Jamaica. My Rodan + Fields business has provided funding to meet many needs in Jamaica and at home in our community. Funds go to purchase house-building materials and many needed supplies for children at St. Christopher's School for the Deaf. Whether it is making little blue crosses or selling t-shirts on Little Blue Apparel, giving back is a family-affair for us.
I've had a compassion and love for people as early as I can remember. I chose a profession of caring for others and it truly has been a blessing in my life. As I moved in the Corporate-side of nursing, I found myself missing the patient care and I began looking for other ways to give back. The success I have experienced with Rodan + Fields has given me more financial freedom to give. This business is such a huge part of discovering my passion for ministry and missions and it has been such an unexpected bonus of joining this business! Together with my loyal customers and team, we have truly made and continue to make a difference in so many people's lives. In the beginning, I didn't understand Rodan + Fields' mission of "Changing Skin and Changing Lives", but now I most certainly do.
